Has it been over 2 month's since I last updated the website???? I am amazed at how the summer has slipped by us. Being with Sun and Suki, life has given me a new outlook, a new meaning. This Family that I am a part of has become an integral component in the internal definition of who I am. Not wanting to become too esoteric, but at the same time, having the luxury of breathing life's very simple pleasures like watching little Suki grasp a plastic bottle, or seeing Sun talk baby talk (which I most certainly do), I sense that LIFE, this gift of experience, is still teaching me to become....become more human, more compassionate, more alive. The picture below quantifies exactly what I am feeling today but which I could not describe in words. More importantly, I have learned that you are all living blessings. For this, I am grateful. There are new photos in the webgallery, and two new flash videos. And on a final note, MOM.....yes MOM Rosengren....the MOM of mom's...has moved in the apartment below...and that is truly another blessing:) Peace to you all.

Wow...I cannot believe how fast the time slips by us. It has been over a month since I last updated the main page. This absolutely boggles my mind. I am learning every moment of the day that becoming a parent is probably one of the most enjoyable, frustrating, entertaining, and difficult passages of life that a person could ever go through. Fathers day came and went, and not to my surprise, the day was like any other day, but with Sun and Suki. We spent time at the Taggart Ranch, eating and driving the tractor. Leroy, Dawn----who is pregnant!!!!!---and their three kids, with Grandma K and of course Mr and Mrs T, all enjoyed a breezy and warm day. My mother, grandma R, stops by frequently to see her granddaughter. Of course, I probably speak with her everyday...getting the tips of parenting from a seasoned veteran! Suki's pooping schedule threw me for a loop...She is now around 14 weeks as of 062807, and she is growing and becoming chunky. Her weight is around 15 pounds....3 times her weight since she left the hospital! Also, it is amazing watching Sun and Suki interact together...I can see that they will become very good "shopping partners" in the near future. I shake my head....I am the luckiest guy in the world....I cannot believe that I am apart of such a wonderful family, and that there are so many friends--the good brothers and sisters---it is truly a blessing. So, enough of the meandering and onto the pictures! Click below to see the webgallery...you will find everyone happy, healthy, and sane.

Wow...it has been such a long time since I updated the website. Having Suki around, both Sun and I find ourselves living the passing days filled with smiles, crys, diapers, and feeding. We love to walk around Grand Ave if the sun is out, and we carve out a little time for Suki to have her leg workouts...where she pretends to stand on our belly's and scans her surrounding environment. She is growing so fast. Everyday, I find her to be the same, but yet different...more loving, cuddly, and demanding! Sun celebrated her first mothers day with her mom, grandma, and my mother. The four of them make a wonderful royal pose....just think--three generations of family:) As usual, the pictures can be found in the webgallery. WE hope all is well with everyone! Our love to you all.

Hello all. We wish all of you blessings in health and life. Suki continues to grow by leaps and bounds. In my eyes, she is amazing. I cannot imagine not having her in my life now. Still the rigors of "Papa" duty seem to over rule any vestiges of my former "non-parental" role. For example, I have been meaning to update this website for the past 4 days.... Needless to say though, the vocation of FatherHood...you know---the "Hood" word in ParentHood, FatherHood, MotherHood, is slowly being learned. Of course, Suki does not realize that she is the teacher:) Sun is a such a wonderful Mother. I do not know how she keeps getting up in the middle of the night to help feed Suki and to do the "Other" Motherly duties. She does this continuously day to day, night to night. This weekend, we spent the time just being a family. That meant that we just hung out at home, not having anything planned, and just did the post "nesting" duties. It was a great time. I caught up with some sleep, as also did Sun. And Suki....well, she always finds sleep-time anytime. Below are a few photo's which will take you to the web photo gallery. And if you have not noticed, we have added a Flash Gallery which will stream video files to your browser. Please Enjoy. We again wish only the best to you. We love you.

Greetings to our wonderful families and friends. This week, Sun mainly took care of Suki while I had to go back to work. Needless to say, I missed both Sun and Suki very much. It seemed so surreal that three weeks could pass so quickly and during that time, both Sun and I had gone through maybe one of the most intimate stages of human evolution. I am amazed that in such a short period of time, we went from being just "us" two, to the "us" becoming three. At the moment, I still feel a little light headed from all the activity, and the lack of sleep:)...which really is a good thing. At work, people will stop me in the hallway and ask if I have slept at all, if Sun has slept at all, and if Suki is a good baby. I can say that yes, we sleep in increments of 2 hours, and that Suki is a wonderful---wonderful---little red bumble bee. We have a few Pictures to show you...and a very sincere note to both our families---thank you and we love you!

Greetings to all of our family and friends. As I write this, Suki is right next to me, sleeping away after having a bout with a little constipation. Seeing her face flare up in a rosy shade of red, and watching as she contorted her face as she tried to push, made both Sun and I feel helpless. This may be the first lesson for me in Parenting 101...That both Sun and I can only give her our love and support, she needs to do the pushing. This leads me to one of my Mother's favorite Authors and what he said about Parenting and children. Kahlil Gibran wrote in his book "The Prophet" this summery of raising children:
"Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself. They come through you but not from you, and though they are with you yet they belong not to you. You may give them your love but not your thoughts, for they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls, for their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams. You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you. For Life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday. You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth. The archer sees the mark upon the path of the infinite, and He bends you with His might that His arrows may go swift and far. Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness; For even as He loves the arrow that flies, so He loves also the bow that is stable."
Thus Speaks the Prophet.
As always, we hope all is well with you. May Peace and gratitude reign in your home and souls. May Life spring upon your humble abode. Please enjoy the updated photos:)

Hello all! Just wanted to post some more photo's of Suki, Mom, and the rest of the family. Milestones to note are: She has had more than 5 oz of Milk during one feeding...she really is gaining the weight and is looking very healthy. She continues to smile, coo, and just make those compressed infant facial displays of emotions. On Saturday, the Taggarts came up to see Suki. Grandma and Grandpa T, Great Grandma K, with Lee-Dawn and the kids, brought some chicken for lunch. Little Owen and Wilson kept on circling around Suki just to "gentle" touch her...they were so excited to see a baby. Uncle Tony has already planted the seed of Capitalism in her precious mind by sending a wonderfully little Piggy bank just for Suki. I know that T has her best interest in his heart. We started a college fund for Suki...any donations????? As you may have read before, just click on the pictures below to take you to the main Kimchi-and-me WebGallery where you will find different photo albums. Once there, just click on the chosen thumbnail and that will take you to the body of pictures. We wish everyone the best in our heart. We are so grateful to have you in our lives. Peace to all!

Greetings to all! I just wanted to up date everyone on the status of Suki, Sun, and our cats:) Suki just went to her second doctors visit, this being on her second week birthday, and the Doc reports that she is doing fine. Suki gained another 9.5 oz....which means that she is a full one pound above her birth weight...and this being just in under 2 weeks. Suki is also 20 inches tall. For Sun and I, we find her growth amazing. Everyday, we see Suki looking slightly more filled out, and smiling to us in that Suki way. Sun is doing much better...which I am so grateful for. But it will still take time for her to recover completely. So, at the moment when all of us are together, we just enjoy "being" a family, taking naps, running little trips to the store, and taking a stroll in the sun. About the cats...really about Pumpkin, I hope that her attitude changes. Both cats are very aware that Suki is here, and both cats have taken the more submissive role of not demanding to much of our attention. In fact, when Suki does decide to cry, and I mean scream (we call Suki "Short Fuse" during these traumatic times right before feeding), the cats will take cover and watch until the little hurricane dissolves. Smart animals:)
As always, below are a few more photographs for preview. The full albums of photographs can be found at http://www.kimchi-and-me.com/gallery. Or just click above on the WebGallery link. Lastly, we hope all had a wonderful easter, and we look forward to hear from you:0

Well, it has been another Suki day in our world. Today we went to visit our "baby" doctor. She is a very intelligent and nice person. Luckily, We have not had any problems with feeding Suki. In fact, She passed her birth weight by 13 oz in only 7 days. We are still somewhat shell shocked at having this new person in our daily life. It has been so rewarding, so enriching, so exhausting. Over the past week, Family and Friends have stopped by to offer their services. Whether it was to just hold little Suki while I had to run shopping errands, or to drop off meals and offer comfort to Sun, who is still healing but overall is feeling much better, Suki's arrival has lead also to an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for all of the people in our lives...In fact, it has become the official TaRose Mantra----"ATTITUDE IS GRATITUDE." We hope all is well with everyone. May our love for you find a place in your Soul. Below are previews of more pictures located in our photo gallery. Please enjoy. ( http://www.kimchi-and-me.com/gallery/ ) Thank you!
So let me tell you a quick story about a girl that came from the depth's of silence and burst into the scene of living life with mom and dad. If you haven't guessed who this girl is, then I will cut to the short end of the story and tell you....Yes, Suki was born. On Thursday, March 29th, at 6:21 pm, Suki plunged into this world. As Kahlil Gibran said in his poem "the ForeRunner," he rhymes that we are all "silent words" coming together to meet, "And when you were a silent word upon Life's quivering lips, I too was there, another silent word Then Life uttered us and we came down...."
The labor was rough on Sun. I cannot phrase into words the amount of pain and suffering she had to endure. As the Labor progressed, she opted not to take any drugs, nor an epidural. Truly amazing....truly heroic.
As of today, Sun is healing and Suki has cemented her place as the first child in the TaRose clan. She also belongs to many great families and traditions---Suki is also from the Taggart, Trettel, Klapperich, Rosengren, and Kim families. She has relatives as far away as Sweden, Korea, England, and Scotland. She is special in every angle. She is a child of many. Please welcome her!
